YOUTH GARDEN……..We are going to have a small garden out at the parsonage that the youth will tend to. The vegetables will be brought to the church to sell and the money will go to a mission the youth decide to support.
“1 By Youth” May 1st hundreds of youth from different churches and youth groups will center their efforts on the St. Clair Place neighborhood to help beautify the community. There will be landscaping, planting flowers, removing honeysuckle from a park, clearing trees/ shrubs from the public right of way, cleaning graffiti, repair and paint houses, paint murals, plant Peace Gardens to feed the hungry. We check in at 7:00 am, Kickoff Rally at 8:00, depart for projects at 8:30 and depart for home at 6:00 pm.
AWAKENING…...A three day spiritual retreat for youth who have finished their freshman year of high school through their senior year. Awakening is sponsored by the Hamilton County Great Banquet and is very similar to the Emmaus Walk. The registration is $75, and the dates are July 23-25 for boys and July 30 through August 1 for girls.
