LUNCH: A sack lunch, including a drink, will be needed each day. Please mark the sack clearly with your child’s first and last name (not just initials). The lunches are to be left in designated areas (ask your child’s teacher). The staff will help the children with their lunches. Don’t forget a plastic spoon if needed. Pack a straw to use with a thermos as it cuts down on spilled drinks. Please do not send carbonated drinks or frozen juice boxes as they usually don’t thaw in time for lunch. Please cut sandwiches in half or fourths. If sending lunchables, please do not send the Pizza type, as they are quite messy! NOTE: Lunches are not refrigerated and we will not reheat items. Please do not send the following food items: hard candy, suckers, gum, or nuts.
BACKPACK: Please send a backpack or other sort of bag for your child to carry home notes, papers, craft projects, etc. Please include a change of clothes in the backpack for accidents and spills. Be sure the backpack and clothing items are clearly marked with the child’s first and last name.
TOYS: Do not send toys or other personal items to school unless requested by the teacher for a special event. If an item is brought to school, the staff is not responsible for it. Items brought to school on request of the teacher (i.e. for show and tell) should be clearly marked with the child’s first and last name. Guns, war toys, and other toys of destruction are never allowed. We prefer toys and activities to be used for learning and expressing feelings of happiness.
